We believe our website has been designed to assist both the business person and the student in gaining a better understanding of the processes, costs and fees that are involved in seeking patent protection, copyright protection, or trademark protection, whichever may be the case.

For the individual inventor, author or business person, links have been provided to the various controlling agencies, as well as access to statutory forms, procedures, and costs that may be incurred in seeking protection for your intellectual property rights, if any.

For the student, we have provided links to tutorials and law libraries that are sufficient in depth to answer any intellectual property law question you may have with appropriate searching within the provided tutorials and library sources.

We would welcome your inquiries regarding engaging our services. In this instance, we have provided a form confidential disclosure agreement that we would execute to provide you with the assurance that we will not disclose you invention to anyone outside of our firm without your authorization. We have also provided a sample of a typically engagement letter and our fee policy agreement for your review. With regard to engaging our services: We will not undertake legal representation until we have made certain that (1) our firm has no conflict between a new representation and the representation of any of our existing clients; (2) that a prospective client has a clear understanding of the fees, costs and time requirements that will be necessary to seek or obtain intellectual property protection; and (3) that we have a signed retainer agreement wherein we have agreed in writing to represent the interests of a prospective client and the prospective client has agreed in writing to engage the services of our firm and has advanced the necessary fees and costs to enable an undertaking of the requested services. For your convenience we have provided a schedule of our fees and services to help expedite your inquires.

If you are interested in establishing an attorney client relationship we would welcome the opportunity to be of service. In this regard, we prefer to initially utilize the Internet and e-mail communications as opposed to the US mail and telephone services in setting up such a relationship. If you have an invention and would like to determine whether your invention appears to be patentable, please complete an invention disclosure form, and submit the disclosure to our office using our e-mail address. Once we receive your disclosure, we will promptly provide you with a fixed price quote for conducting a patent search in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Please note, until such time as we have established an attorney client relationship, we do not answer inquires that call for a legal opinion. Neither do we answer intellectual property law questions from students who are interested in the study of intellectual property law.
